I think as long as she’s portrayed as a human with flaws and virtues and human problems and whatnot, I’ll mark it as “satisfactory.”  -_-;  Which is sad because it kind of attests to what I’ve had to work with in the past.

Though for all it’s problems, I think Rapunzel is a good example of a female character who is feminine but still independent and stuff.  She can cook, bake, clean, sew, wear pretty dresses, have long pretty hair and beat the shit out of you with a frying pan, swing from tall heights, etc.

But so far I think I already have a problem with this movie on other fronts just because I can’t even explain how sick I am of looking at movie trailer after move trailer and not seeing any POCs.  I mean, it’s sad when you’re tired of seeing your own race represented too much.  So when I see the character line up I just feel annoyed by the line of white faces.

Knowing myself, I will probably enjoy the movie in the moment but then dissect it into itty bit sexist, racist, heteronormative pieces when I get home.
